Demon Hunter with special guests Zao, Oh Sleeper, Advent @ Mr. Smalls Theatre

There's a spiritual war brewing across the globe, in the heart of humanity - a war within, and without. Now is the time to lay aside the fruitless distractions of the world, to stand in the face of adversity, stake your claim and choose your side. Now is the time to join with Demon Hunter and STORM THE GATES OF HELL. Demon Hunter's boldly titled new album arrives as the groundswell beneath the band threatens to erupt and dominate all in their path. It's fair warning to the cookie-cutter bands cluttering the scene and the vacuous mainstream alike. The "Hunters" in the "Blessed Resistance," as the band's most devoted fans are known, have championed the cause since day one and are making their voices heard throughout the underground. STORM THE GATES OF HELL contains Demon Hunter's most jaw-dropping and aggressive material, recalling the best and brightest of thrash metal's glory days on tracks like the barnstorming opener and "The Wrath of God." Alternately, songs like first single "Fading Away" give the best of Modern Rock a run for its money, and the ballad "Carry Me Down" threatens to eclipse previous fan favorites like "My Heartstrings Come Undone."

Combining common and unusual musical instruments with robotic technology, the exhibit features a futuristic 'band' of music makers with members that include GuitarBot, ModBots and the infamous Ill-Tempered Clangier. And YOU “play” the “Bots” by moving and dancing on the lighted dance floor, making your own concert of techno music.
LEMURtron is created by LEMUR (League of Electronic Musical Urban Robots), a Brooklyn, NY-based group of artists and technologists creating exotic, sculptural musical instruments which integrate robotic technology. LEMUR was founded by Eric Singer in 2000.

Disney's Beauty and the Beast
Musical | Music by Alan Menken, Lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice
July 1 - July 20

The classic love story of Belle, a kind-hearted but misunderstood young woman, and the Beast, a pompous prince who has been turned into an animal by the spell of an enchantress. The only chance the Beast has of breaking the spell is to learn both how to love and how to be loved, lessons for which he turns to Belle for help.. Based on a well-known French fairy tale, Beauty and the Beast was released as a film by Walt Disney Pictures in 1991, where its state-of-the-art animation and profoundly relevant story line made it popular with children and adults alike. The elements that make Beauty and the Beast so magical onscreen translate beautifully to the stage, where its grandeur and scale promises to thrill Playhouse theater-goers.
