"Diversity and the Arts" Roundtable at the Last Days Cafe
Calendar: Local Calendar
Quercus
30 Jun 2008
Local artists will discuss how their work engages and responds to ethnicity, ability, age, gender and other community demographics. Topics include the challenges artists face in addressing diversity and what the resulting work offers to the public. By showing and discussing their work, speakers will attempt to answer questions such as how notions of diversity manifest in art.
A monthly gathering of artists and creative professionals, the Last Days Café is a free happy hour open to the public and held the last day of every month (except December). It is presented by the Pittsburgh Creativity Project, housed within the STUDIO for Creative Inquiry at Carnegie Mellon University.
