Stand-Up Comedy Legend Comes to New Hazlett Theatre

Acclaimed stand-up comedian Bobby Collins is bringing his special brand of heartfelt humor from the comedy club scene to the stage of Pittsburgh’s New Hazlett Theatre.

Collins, who The New York Times has hailed as “the most natural comedian working today,” will headline a special stand-up show at the newly renovated 550-seat theater at 8 p.m. Sat., Sept. 6.

Described as a “perfect fusion of Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis” (New York Post), Collins is known for his live performances, cable TV specials, numerous talk show appearances, feature film roles and comedy CDs.

Early in his career, he was hand-picked by comedian Rosie O’Donnell to replace her as the host of VH1’s Stand Up Spotlight, and he has opened for such show business notables as Cher, Julio Iglesias, Dolly Parton and the legendary Frank Sinatra.

Through his company, Low Brow Entertainment Co., comedy promoter Randy Singer is on a quest to bring stand-up comedy out of the club and into the theater, where fans are promised “a whole different experience.”

“Stand-Up Comedy Legend Bobby Collins” will be presented at 8 p.m. Sat., Sept. 6 at the New Hazlett Theatre, 6 Allegheny Square East, on Pittsburgh’s North Side. Tickets are $39.50 and $34.50.

For more information, call 866-651-2906 or visit www.lowbrowentertainmentco.com.
