Witness Mary Shelley's life as she writes Frankenstein or the Modern Prometheus—the first "real science fiction" novel – and makes her love affair with the poet, Percy Shelley, and her struggles as a woman of this period– all a part of her story. Is Dr. Frankenstein’s creature the real monster of the tale or does society share the blame?

Based on diaries, letters and the accounts of friends, Mary Shelley and Her Frankenstein is an entertaining, and intriguing insight into the life and work of Gothic literature's most notorious author.
