Molded in the tradition of a live variety show radio broadcast, "Live Sound" promises a hilarious and musical evening of entertainment on Saturday, April 26 at Beaver Falls Coffee and Tea at 7:30PM. The show is part radio drama and part musical performance for the entire family.

"Live Sound" features an all new episode of the radio adventure-comedy "Dodge Intrepid and The Pages Time," which features Mike Rubino and James Catullo voicing a number of characters. During breaks in the adventure local musician Jason Panella will be performing cover songs from past and present.

“Live Sound” is being hosted by the cast of “Dodge Intrepid” which is written by Mike Rubino, 22 of Monaca, and James Catullo, 27 of Beaver. Both are members of the Cellar Dwellers sketch comedy and improv troupe. Jason Panella, 25 of Beaver Falls, is a Geneva graduate.

“This is a new kind of show for us,” said co-writer, Mike Rubino. “It’s going to combine our normal adventure radio show with some guitar-driven rock, and hopefully it’ll allow us to reach a new audience.”

"Beaver Falls Coffee and Tea has a great atmosphere for this kind of show," says James Catullo.

“Dodge Intrepid” is set in Beaver County in the 1940’s, and features a thrilling and humorous episode, punctuated with old fashioned commercials, cliffhangers and secret decoder ring messages. In this performance, time-traveling librarian, Dodge Intrepid, embarks on an interlibrary loan mission that sends him back to Victorian England.

John Lyons to Headline Third Annual PNHA Horseman’s Extravaganza
April 26-27, 2008 at Westmoreland Fairgrounds
(GREENSBURG, Pa.) John Lyons, "America’s most trusted horseman," is headlining the third annual PNHA Horseman’s Extravaganza April 26 and 27, 2008 at Westmoreland Fairgrounds near Greensburg.
The Horseman’s Extravaganza will be held from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. The Extravaganza will feature educational seminars and demonstrations, a shopping area with numerous horse-related vendors, horse breed demonstrations, food concessions, prizes and a Cowboy Church Service conducted by John Lyons at 8:15 a.m. on Sunday. All activities are held indoors. Daily admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children under 10; children under 3 are admitted free of charge.
As a pioneer in the clinician movement, Lyons has been instrumental in changing the horse industry forever. Many of today's training principals found their roots in his common-sense approach to people and horses. Lyons is conducting sessions on "Starting the Unbroke Horse;" "Speed and Directional Control, Transitions and Collective Distractions;" and "Trailer Loading and Problems."
Joining Lyons are internationally renowned horsemanship clinicians Elizabeth Graves and Janice Behrik and driving champion Donna J. Crookston.
Graves’ efforts focus on positive reinforcement for the horse and rider and empowering riders with the knowledge they need to achieve a positive and complete relationship with their horse. Her Extravaganza sessions focus on "Great Gaits, Get Straight;" "Taking the Mystery Out of Gaits;" "Structure as it Relates to Gait" and "Dressage for the Gaited Horse."
Behrik is conducting a session on "Classical Dressage for Every Horse and Rider." She is the owner of Stoneridge Farm in Cabot, Pa., where she has taught classical dressage principals for over 20 years, after years of training with many U.S. and European instructors. Behrik believes all breeds of horses and riders of all disciplines can benefit from the fundamentals of dressage.
Crookston’s session focuses on "Safely Putting Horse to Vehicle." Crookston has more than 50 years of riding and horsemanship experience. Her horse, RG Cowboys Black Cadillac, won the 2007 United States Equestrian Federation Horse of the Year award in combined driving for single horses. He was also the 2007 Morgan Horse Year End Award winner in the open competition program for combined driving and the Reserve Champion at the National Singles Championship in October 2007.
Pennsylvania Natural Horsemanship Association, Inc. is a member-based, not-for-profit organization dedicated to the education and promotion of communication between horses and humans. PNHA, Inc.’s membership includes riders of all ages and riding disciplines.
