Join Troma Studio’s Director Lloyd Kauffman at The Warhol for the Pittsburgh premiere of Poultrygeist: Night of Chicken Dead.
Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead is both a satire of the zombie genre, and an assault on the fast-food industry’s stranglehold on America. The film continues Troma’s pioneeringtechnique of genre mélange, adding onscreen singing anddancing to Troma’s innovative slapstick-gore satire.Director Lloyd Kaufman states that “... giant, devil-worshippingconglomerates today control the food and media we consume—and it’s the media that perpetuates the hegemony of a restaurant industry that is literally killing us and turning us into McNuggetcraving zombies.”
Kaufman, director of many of Troma's best-known films, including The Toxic Avenger, along with partner Michael Herz founded Troma Studios in 1974.
“A simultaneously horrific and hilarious parody of the zombie genre!”
Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide
This 35mm screening kicks off a five zombie film fest running from August 1 - 29.
