LEMURtron is a modern musical extravaganza like you've never seen or heard before! Combining common and unusual musical instruments with robotic technology, the exhibit features a futuristic 'band' of music makers with members that include GuitarBot, ModBots and the infamous Ill-Tempered Clangier. YOU "play" the "Bots" by moving and dancing on the lighted dance floor, making your own concert of techno music.
LEMURtron is created by LEMUR (League of Electronic Musical Urban Robots), a Brooklyn, NY-based group of artists and technologists creating exotic, sculptural musical instruments which integrate robotic technology. LEMUR was founded by Eric Singer in 2000.

20 Jul 2008
Art What You Got is Polish Hill's first ever arts festival. The day's festivities include an artist market, music, food and fun activities for all ages.
Forty artists will be displaying and selling their original artwork and crafts, ranging from t-shirts, jewelry and calendars to photography, ceramics and fine art. The music line up includes Irish folk, soul, big band, folk rock, classic rock and heavy rock. Many of the artists and several musicians are Polish Hill residents, but artists rein from all over the Pittsburgh area.

Even the food promises to be memorable, featuring pickles-on-a-stick (selling for a mere .57 cents!), pierogies, halushki, kielbasa, burgers, and tacos-in-a bag. Art What You Got will be completely outdoors, rain or shine, under tents on Brereton Street between Dobson Street and 30th Street. The festival will also feature several special guests: The Andy Warhol Museum, The Mattress Factory, Society for Contemporary Crafts, The Sprout Fund, and The Artists for Hope Foundation. Live ice sculpting will be demonstrated by Mastro Ice at 3:00 pm. Activities for kids include a face painter, origami hats, and hands on crafts provided by the special guest arts organizations. Basket raffles with Polish Hill memorabilia and the chance to win cash will finish off the festival. Free and open to the public.
