The It's Alive 2008 Zombie Fest

Zombie Fest will be held at Monroeville Mall in honor of the 30th anniversary of Dawn of the Dead - AND - we have made it a free event open to the public!!! Zombie Fest will feature vendors selling zombie and horror themed items, zombie films, author discussion panels featuring award winning horror writers, and lots of activities for everyone. Did we mention its FREE admission?
Zombie Fest hours are 10 AM to 9:30 PM on Saturday, October 25 and noon to 6 PM on Sunday, October 26.

Girl Scout Leaf Day

Join other South Hill's Girl Scouts and explore the wonders of autumn's changing leaves and the trees they belong to. Take a hike through the forests of Boyce-Mayview Park and learn to identify plants and animals of fall! Play "Eco-Games" and make a suncatcher using natural materials that you've collected during the day. Each scout will complete activities from a variety of Try-Its and badges and receive an REEC participation patch. Junior and Brownie troops are required to pre-register and bring an appopriate adult : child ratio. Fee is $15 per scout (adults are free).

Calling all ghosts, goblins, witches, and super heroes to the Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium's KDKA ZooBOO for Kids' Sake.
Come and enjoy spooktacular activities like the Haunted House, not-so-spooky Train Ride, costume parade and contest, special animal activities, and of course, trick-or-treating.

Trick-or-treat bags will be provided to all children ages 12 years and under. Bags will be distributed until 3PM.
All activities included with general admission.
